Born in the north, raised in the south, Josh U. Greco began his musical career at the age of twelve after his father gave him a copy of Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy. After being mesmerized by the incredible work of Jimmy Page, Josh quickly realized playing guitar was what he wanted to do. From there on, Josh discovered many of Page's colleagues including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, and George Harrison citing them all as major influences. Today, Josh lives in Atlanta where he plays in Greco with his three other brothers currently working on the release of their next EP.
Hailing from Athens, GA and currently residing in Atlanta, Greco is a band of four brothers bound together by blood and music.
Greco's musical touch is summed up in four words: Sing. Dance. Sweat. Sex.
You'll want to do one if not all of these things while listening to their blend of modern hooks layered over rock & roll lyrics. If you took the lovechild of the Arctic Monkeys and Young the Giant, and watched that kid get raised by living on the road with the Black Lips or the Kooks, then somewhere in that jumble you would find Greco's music.
Greco connects to the audience through common experiences, sung & belted out over blistering riffs, while giving the crowd a chance to jump in a wild and morally ambiguous party. Their latest stage show reflects their breaking out of the stereotypical pop rock genre, and touching the dirty bits of life that happens to everyone and relating to how we all can keep pushing on.
